Unfortunately, getting the log file in text form is a little more complicated since where it is located depends upon your operating system. So it may be easier to read the log file and discuss it with others if it is in text form. But sometimes the context in which the error ocurred may be important. Using the log viewer is fine if you just want to find what the error message is. However, screenshots do work from within the viewer. So if you are trying to paste the error message to a forum in order to get help, it won’t work. Unfortunately, cut and paste does not work from within the log viewer. Once you’ve got the actual text of the error message, it can give you a better idea what is causing the problem. Scroll through the file until you find the error.If Kodi has been shutdown since the error ocurred, click on “show old log.” Otherwise, click on “show log.”.Click “run.” This opens a new dialogue box that offers you options to either show logs, show an old log, or change settings.You should see options to “run,” “configure,” “auto-update,” “disable,” or “uninstall.” Go back to the program addons list and click “Log Viewer for Kodi” again. ![]()
